First Lonestar Bank began with a clear mission: to bring true, relationship-driven community banking to the expanding Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
We started our journey as a Loan Production Office in January 2023. Thanks to the trust and support of our local clients, we quickly established deep roots in the region. On June 3, 2024, we opened our first full-service branch in the bustling Frisco Bridges office park to better serve our growing customer base.
As North Texas continues to thrive, we are growing right alongside you. To expand our reach and bring our personalized financial services closer to our clients across the Dallas/Fort Worth Worth metroplex, First Lonestar Bank opened a new full-service branch on Preston Road in July 2026. With convenient locations in both Frisco and North Dallas, accessing local banking expertise has never been easier.

First Lonestar Bank operates as a division of First Liberty Bank, a highly successful community bank founded on October 2, 2006, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Our parent company was built on a foundation of strength and visionary leadership, co-founded by Chief Executive Officer Joey Root, legendary coach Barry Switzer, the late country music icon Toby Keith, and prominent commercial real estate developer Hunter Miller.
While we enjoy the deep resources and financial stability of a major regional institution, our daily focus remains entirely local. First Lonestar Bank is led by our President, Scott Hughes. A veteran banker with over thirty years of industry experience, Mr. Hughes spent his first eight years with First Liberty Bank as Chief Lending Officer before taking the helm. Under his guidance, we combine sophisticated financial solutions with the warm, attentive service you can only get from a homegrown bank.
