DEBIT CARD FRAUD MONITORING SYSTEMS

If suspicious transactions are detected, debit cardholders will receive a text message at all phone numbers, which will support text messaging with the option to Confirm Fraud or Confirm No Fraud.

Please note:

  • Texts are delivered between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time.
  • It is free for cardholders to use. However, your mobile provider's standard rates for sending and receiving text messages still apply.
  • Cardholders are automatically opted into the service – no enrollment is required.
  • Cardholders may opt out at any time by responding STOP to a text message.

Below are images of example texts:

If there is no response to the text, you will receive a phone call from the fraud center. Please note:

  • Calls are placed between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time.
  • Cardholders can confirm transactions within an automatic system or speak to a fraud analyst.
  • Cardholders will be asked to verify the billing zip code.
  • The cardholder is connected to a fraud analyst if fraudulent activity is confirmed.

While First Lonestar Bank's debit card fraud prevention system will legitimately initiate a phone call to debit card holders regarding suspicious activity on their debit cards, cardholders will never be asked for their card number, PIN or account number if the call is legitimate. No sensitive information is requested. The analysts will identify themselves by name, state they are calling on behalf of First Lonestar Bank, and only ask for confirmation of specific activity on a debit card.

It is essential to notify customer service at First Lonestar Bank when you will be out of town, even in the U.S., or if you foresee any debit card activity that is not typical for your account. Also, it is important to notify us if your contact information changes. If the fraud analyst cannot reach you, your account will be put on hold until we can confirm the charges to your account.

If you need to report a lost or stolen debit card or have any concerns about unusual activity on any of your accounts, please call this number immediately: 1-866-546-8273, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Remember, the longer you delay, the more time the thief has to make charges on your account.
